Prius as Emergency Electric Generator
For those of you who own a Prius or may buy one in the future, you should consider it a Prep as well. You can use it as a backup electric generator to power your House or a mobile generator to power a fridge, electric skillet, laptop, cell phone recharger, etc while camping.
http://www.nytimes.com/2007/09/02/au...OWER.html?_r=1 http://www.wikihow.com/Use-a-Toyota-...ckup-Generator It is much more reliable, safe and powerful than a portable gas powered generator. Other Hybrids such as the Lexus RXH could be used in this way as well. |
